It's hard to imagine a better place for relaxing spa treatments than our riverside rainforest setting. Our licensed care providers love to visit and treat guests here, and this includes many forms of massage, energywork, aromatherapy, guided breathwork & yoga, acupuncture and other holistic offerings when available.
Arranging your own therapy is easy. Just review our services menu below and tell us what you'd like at booking time. We'll do our best to arrange a session that best suits your needs and getaway schedule, including morning and evening appointments. Your therapist will arrive about 30 minutes early to prepare your treatment space and consult briefly with you. In these cautionary times our therapist will likely be masked for your entire treatment. Soothing music, candles and natural oils provided.
Treatments for Zen Cabin guests may be performed in the private spa cabin (above), adjoining the hottub. During the summer we let the river sounds in by opening doors or windows. During cooler weather we turn on the heated tile floor to warm the space for your comfort.
Now we have the pleasure of doing most treatments in our dynamic new Cedar House (below), which features a guest lounge, kitchen, spa shower, candlelit hearth and room for yoga and other group functions.
Jenn first turned to yoga after an injury in 2013 and found it was the only thing that helped her, both mentally and physically, and dedicated herself to learning and practice. She completed her 200 hour Vinyasa training with Maui Yoga Shala, in 2020 she became a certified breathwork and meditation teacher, and further continued her training to become an advanced breathwork practitioner.
"I truly believe the breath is a direct connection and influence to our state. I offer guided breathwork sessions for all-levels, from those looking to go on a soul exploration journey to those looking for respiratory healing. As someone who has experienced respiratory issues, years of chronic stress & anxiety (haven’t we all!) I have learned firsthand the importance of pranayama practice."
"In my classes I like to focus on mindfulness, meditation and breathwork. I offer all-levels friendly classes and primarily guide Vinyasa flow, focusing on alignment and building strength both mentally and physically. My goal is to help others by nurturing body, mind and soul with the practice of yoga and my hope is that you leave feeling strong, peaceful and balanced.”
Melody graduated from Oregon School of Massage in Portland, Oregon in 2015 and specializes in Deep Tissue, Cupping, Relaxation, and Intuitive Healing Sessions. Her work is centered in the belief that we all deserve happiness, health, respect, love, and that our bodies hold the knowledge of what they need to be in balance. She practices deep listening with each client, both to what they say and what their body says during the session. She works with the body's responses to encourage re-aligning energetic flow by amplifying what your body is doing to heal itself which facilitates relief from pain, releases muscle restrictions, and increases relaxation.
Melody has been a student of Vipassana Meditation for many years and incorporates mindfulness techniques into her healing practice. She is a lover of nature and enjoys being in her garden, making plant medicine, building her cabin, working on art projects, and listening to the birds sing.

Jocelyn is a graduate of the 2012 Massage Therapy program at Lane Community College in Eugene, Oregon, where she lived and practiced professionally for many years before heading to the Florida Keys for a taste of island life. Joining the team at a premium full service spa saw her working with a talented group of professionals and specialized treatments, as well as clientele from around the world, including professional athletes and musicians, adults with disabilities, cancer patients, and the elderly.
Jocelyn offers a gentle, healing touch, tailoring each session to her client's individual needs. Her specialties include Swedish, therapeutic, and deep tissue. She also integrates trigger point, Thai, Reiki, and Craniosacral techniques into her sessions, and has experience with passive stretching, sports massage, and muscle strengthening with therapeutic exercises.
A passion for adventure led Jocelyn to the wild shores and forests of the Olympic Peninsula,
where she found kinship with the local arts and wellness community, a deep appreciation for the beauty of our lush natural landscapes, and joy in sharing her therapies with Zen River guests.
Katie attended the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage in 2008 which gave her a strong foundation in Structural Bodywork. She went on to study Zen Shiatsu with TJ Frank which focuses on the psychological aspects of the meridians and how to move energy within these pathways. Through this practice, she was introduced to the perspectives of the Five Element Theory and Traditional Chinese Medicine. These perspectives altered the way she looks at the body and all bodywork sessions get filtered through this lens. She studied Lomi Lomi with Jeana Naluai and loves to include the nourishing influence of this heart-centered practice that connects to elements of nature and the ocean’s rhythms. These 3 styles of bodywork make up the foundational elements of her practice. Each massage is custom-tailored to meet the needs of each client. It is through careful listening to each person and what their body says throughout the session that she decides how to massage. She draws on a diverse range of modalities to meet you where you are in the moment, and wants to make your Zen River restoration incredible!
